• Week 4: Swelling resolving. First real contour visible. 20-30% of transferred fat may have resorbed.

• Month 6: Final result. Surviving fat is permanently yours. Photograph now for comparison with future touch-ups.

What To Look For In Photos

Ask your surgeon for photos at 6 months, not 1 week. A 1-week photo shows swelling, not the result you will actually have. A 6-month photo shows the permanent outcome. Surgeons who only show 1-4 week photos are being misleading.
