BBL Hip Dip Before & After Results

BBL and Hip Dips

A Brazilian Butt Lift transfers fat to the buttocks, not specifically to the trochanteric depression. Some of the transferred fat may land near the dip area and provide some volume, but a standard BBL is not designed to address hip dips.

What a BBL Actually Changes

A BBL adds volume to the gluteal region — the buttocks and the area directly above and lateral to the buttocks. The trochanteric depression sits above the main BBL injection zones. While some surgeons incorporate the dip area into their injection plan, a standard BBL does not target it.

Modified BBL for Hip Dips

Some surgeons offer a modified BBL that includes targeted injection into the trochanteric depression. This is essentially a fat transfer for hip dips combined with a BBL. If hip dips are your primary concern, ask your surgeon specifically about their approach to this area.

Evaluating BBL Before & After

Look at the lateral hip contour specifically, not just the buttock projection. A good hip dip result shows a smoother transition from waist to upper thigh. A standard BBL result may show improved buttock projection without meaningful change to the dip.
